Barnacle Foods has many challenges when they harvest their Bull Kelp in Juneau, Alaska. Rough waters and challenging weather conditions keep you on your game. Working closely with the Alaskan government, they get permits to harvest their kelp which keeps it sustainable. Some of their products are made with kelp and others are from this region of Alaska. Chefs are surprised with the amazing taste and variety of applications.
