Charleston, South Carolina is know for their food scene and that is where we first met the team from Lady’s Island Oyster. Lady’s Island Oyster is nurturing their oysters from hatchery through harvest. A full grown oyster can filter around 50 gallons of water a day, which can help clean the water that they live in. It’s called mariculture and it removes pressure from wild oyster resources and with their Single Lady Oysters they can harvest year-round and provide a great product to restaurants.
