The Gulf of Maine Research Institute has been looking at the issues of global warming and the heating up of our oceans. The cold clean waters from the Gulf of Maine have long been a legendary source of seafood. However, a shifting ecosystem, declines in some key commercial species, along with increased global competition are challenging and changing the region’s seafood industry. Dr. Andrew Pershing, their Chief Science Officer, talks about what is happening to our oceans.
