As we went in search of sustainable seafood, people would ask “Can you give some ideas to help me cook my seafood?” Many of the companies we talked to had great menu options and they provided some great sustainable seafood dishes. We will break them down by company. Along with these menu ideas we will give you resources to help you search for options that may work for you and your family. We had an opportunity to try all of these products and had our chef prepare them for our group.

As you dive into these menu ideas, have fun with the experience. You may have to change some of the products depending on where you live and time the time of year. You can also find many other creative options online or in cookbooks. There are many products that we have not talked about at your local grocery stores and seafood markets. Be aware that some seafood items may be out of season, and cannot be harvested to ensure their survival. We feel that Barton Seaver says it best:
“Sustainablity is complicated, but dinner is a reality that we all very much understand, so let’s start there!”
